The Ruins of Garh Kundar Fort

The khangar Rajput dynasty was a Kshatriya clan that ruled large areas of Bundelkhand, a region in central India, after the fall of the Chandels in 1182 AD. Their seat of power was at Garh Kundar, a fort built by Maharaja Khub Singh Khangar, grandson of Maharaja Khet Singh Khangar, the founder of the Khangar state in Bundelkhand.

khangars were formerly classified as a criminal tribe under the Criminal Tribes Acts of the British Raj as they Fought against the Turkic invasions and resisted the Delhi Sultanate
